Study on the Leaching Conditions of the Shihongtan Uranium Deposit

CO2 + O2 is a relatively mature, neutral, in situ leaching process that has been widely used. However, the decrease uranium concentration solution during production become serious problem western section of south ore belt Shihongtan deposit Xinjiang, China. In order to solve this problem, mineralogy and batch tests were carried out explore reason for low resource efficiency determine better parameters. A total 16 under different conditions CO2/O2 ratios HCO3− concentrations. The results show that: (1) minerals mainly pitchblende titanium-bearing mineral. Part resources mixed quartz, which difficult activate recover. high content calcium carbonate clay TDS (total dissolved solid) groundwater would cause reduction porosity. (2) According rate, was obtained when pH lower than 6.6, 800 mg/L. This result could serve as reference other similar mines.
